Xfinity Speed Arcade Game

Project

Xfinity wanted to create a game interaction to visually compare Xfinity internet speeds with competitors. The decision was to create a motorcycle game using the actual arcade machine.

As the consumer drove the motorcycle, their speed would be determined by the Megabytes per Second as opposed to Miles per Hour. You would begin the game at a competitor’s speeds which were significantly slower. As the game progressed, there would be 'power-ups' along the course do give you a temporary speed boost. Collect enough power-ups, and your Xfinity speed permanently remained until the end of the course.

As a plus, a hidden fan was added to blow a strong gust of wind in your face as you finished. At the same time, a camera installed into the frame would take a picture and send it to your email or SMS to download or share on social media.
