Capital One Trade Show Kiosk

Project

Capital One wanted to promote a few of their new products at a list of trade shows they would be attending for the year. A few of their trade shows not only included booths, but also unattended lounges where consumers could sit, relax, and learn a few things about these specific products. At these booths, there would be self-guided kiosks that consumers could interact with, which would give them incentives to visit the Capital One booth to receive a prize and learn more about their products from actual Capital One representatives.

For convenience, these kiosks were also added to the trade booths themselves for Capital One representatives to use as visuals for their pitch. 'Skip' options were implemented into these versions to speed up the process as they would not need to be as self-guided as the kiosks in the lounge areas. RFID badges made it possible to personalize the experiences as well as making data capture that much easier.

Process

Our first step was to educate ourselves with each product before sorting through main highlights that could work as attention grabbers for potential clients who want to take a deeper dive. We also had the opportunity to even educate current clients on services they might not be aware of. This was followed by wireframes and visual design for the user interface after minor testing. After seeing how the finished kiosks were received in their first trade show, we used the opportunity to make improvements to the final interaction that would be used in every trade show thereafter.
